Personal Learning Network and its use.

What is a personal learning network?

A personal learning network is when you form a group of people or tools you trust to use for education and learning.

A personal learning network typically consists of different digital tools and different kinds of people like your family or maybe a tutor, the idea is that you have a circle of tools and people helping you learn and grow in a subject.

When is a personal learning network used?

Some uses of a personal learning network could be:

  1. To continue developing your skills past school.
  2. Connecting with others interested in learning.
  3. Gaining knowledge from others and feedback on your work.
  4. Wanting to further your knowledge on a specific topic.
  5. Finding like-minded people to make relationships with.

Many people find that they can only learn up to a certain point from just attending school and further education and use a personal learning network as a way to learn for life. Personal learning networks are special as you can choose to be a part of the group by participating or just listening and learning.
